Questions
Does my PDF get uploaded?
No. Paradoc runs in this browser tab. The page loads its own code from paradoc.online, and then your PDF is read and written on your device, by PDFium, the engine behind Chrome's PDF viewer, built into WebAssembly. You can check: open your browser's network panel, and watch for a request carrying your file. There isn't one (the page only fetches its own code).
Will it lower the quality?
The images inside the PDF are made smaller, so they lose some detail: Light keeps the most, Maximum gives the smallest file. Text stays as it is. A PDF that is mostly text has little room to shrink.
Will the compressed PDF keep its password?
Yes. Compress keeps the original's protection, so the result opens with the same password.
How big a file can I compress?
Up to 100 MB.
